Our story
Two fare,
two private retreats,
one Polynesian soul.
Ia Orana, I'm Mercedes. Through the KAHA and KEVAI fare, I imagined two retreats intimately tied to what matters most to me: my children, Kahanui and Kevainui.
The name KVAI was born from their combined first names. In Marquesan, it evokes a spring, water flowing naturally. A symbol echoing this unique spot on Moorea, where a spring meets the ocean right in front of the fare.
Designed as havens of calm and light, KAHA and KEVAI blend simplicity, privacy and the Polynesian art of living, to the rhythm of sunsets and the lagoon.

In Tiahura, KVAI Sunset Beach nestles beside Tohorā, which means “whale” in Tahitian. Seen from the sky, its natural shape recalls a whale's silhouette — a nod to those that return to Moorea's waters every year and can sometimes be spotted offshore, right in front of the accommodations.
